Sida's Support to the Reproductive Health and TANSWED HIV Research Programmes in Tanzania

Sida/SAREC has been supporting the two programmes under evaluation for fifteen and eleven years respectively. The TANSWED HIV programme has been supported since 1986. It was started as a result-oriented project without the emphasis on research capacity strengthening, but this was introduced as an additional aim when it became a bilateral programme in 1990.
