PROSERBI. Integrated basic services program in Nicaragua

Since 1992, the Swedish Government has supported an Integrated Basic Services Program in Nicaragua called PROSERBI. The objective of the program is to improve the living conditions of children, adolescents and women in the poorest rural areas by increasing access and improving quality of basic services, mainly health education, water and sanitation. An independent monitoring team has analysed the performance and progress, identified problems and suggested modifications.
