Summary

This is the third professional peer review of the evaluation function at a multilateral development or humanitarian organisation. It was carried out at WFP's request by a group of international evaluation experts. The review has assessed the strengths and weaknesses of the evaluation function at WFP along three criteria or dimensions: independence, credibility and utility. A number of measures for improvement are proposed in the report. The professional peer reviews are joint initiatives by the OECD-DAC Network on Development Evaluation and the UN Evaluation Group (UNEG).
