Summary
Following discussions in 1983 between the Government of Botswana and SIDA concerning the rapidly deteriorating traffic accident situation in Botswana, it was agreed that funds would be provided by both parties to address this problem. The main objective of the programme was to decrease the number of traffic accidents and their economic and social consequences.
