Summary
A compilation of papers presented at an international seminar on "Assistance to media in tension Areas and violent conflicts" held in Waxholm, Sweden 25-27 May 2003. The media have a crucial role to play in helping to provide the stability in conflict or post conflict areas - in establishing security, building institutions and tackling in-equalities. Media can provide an alternative venue of non-violent dialouge and commuication channels.
